On behalf of all our clients we have just attended a meeting with in the local Government offices in La Laguna, Tenerife, with representatives from the consumer defense association.

They covered both the floor and ceiling clauses in many mortgages granted in Spain, and also the possibility of claiming back the costs of legalizing a mortgage.

Although, matters have been through the supreme courts, the final judgement is yet to be published, which will allow all courts in Spain to follow the same procedures, using the same list of required documents.

We are therefore asking all present, past and future clients who have had a mortgage, even if they have since cancelled it to contact our office, to prepare the documentation to make a claim.

It is expected that the Supreme Court will make their final judgement within 6 months.
